I came to Kathmandu planning to hike the Annapurna Circuit without much of a plan, just trusting it would all work out. And that’s exactly what happened.
Some locals referred me to Rajan, and after meeting him, I knew I was in great hands. He was calm, professional, and clearly experienced. A few days later, his brother Sharan, my guide, met me at my hotel to go over my pack. They even loaned me a few items for the trek and let me store the rest of my gear at their house. Above and beyond from the start.
We took a jeep from Kathmandu to Dharapani. From then on, I felt like a yacht owner in the Himalayas. Sharan and Ishwor, my porter, were total pros. Friendly and fun, but also knew when to give me space. I never had to think about logistics. Every room, every meal, every detail was handled. I just walked and soaked it in.
It genuinely felt like I was their only client. They always got me the best rooms at the tea houses, and Sharan’s weather sense was unreal. Thanks to his timing, I was one of the few who saw the full Annapurna Massif at Tilicho Lake. We hiked back under a sky full of stars.
Eighteen unforgettable days. If you want to feel truly taken care of out there, book with Rajan, Sharan, and Ishwor. You’ll be glad you did.
