The Best Seasons for Scenic Pokhara Tour

For Pokhara scenic Tour, visitors can enjoy nearly all seasons of the year, the best time are spring and autumn. Spring from March to May and autumn / fall starts from September to November, can visit during winter season also. The winter from December to February with cold morning and night time, but with clear sunny days for short hours.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 01: Morning drive to Pokhara by 7 a.m. (220 km / 137 miles) - 06 hrs
Early morning by 7 a.m. taking a car, coach or on regular Tourist Bus, as per the group’s size. The drive takes you beyond western rim of Kathmandu valley and downhill, on the main busy highway of Nepal. Following Trisuli River, popular for
Rafting, and then heading further west on leaving the Trisuli River. An interesting drive having refreshing stops for lunch and tea breaks, as the journey continues through farm village and towns. Then finally the long hour drive completes reaching Pokhara, and transfer to respective hotels. Most Tourist Standard Hotels are located by the Phewa Lake Side, a lovely place to enjoy all types of activities.

Day 02: Early morning drive to Sarankot 1,600 m / 5,250 ft. Enjoy Sunrise
over chain of Himalayan peaks. Full day tour of natural wonders. Morning before breakfast, a short drive to reach Sarankot hill at 1,600 m high rewards spectacular sunrise views. Includes panorama of Himalayan range, Annapurna, Manaslu as far as Dhaulagiri Himal, includes whole of Pokhara valley and the lakes. From here back to hotel for breakfast, and then tour continues to Pokhara’ natural wonders of Seti gorge. The Seti River rushes through the city, running underground at places, an amazing as it disappears within few meters wide. From here drive to local area with traditional bazaar and ethnical diverse
traders. Visit the Bindhayabasini temple reflects the Newari architecture of Kathmandu valley. Observe the local on prayer and worship along with excellent views of the bazaar and the Annapurna Mountains. In between having lunch break on a nice restaurant near the Lake side, and the continue tour of Pokhara. A short drive south of the city to Devi’s fall a beautiful
waterfall also called as Patale Chhago (Hell’s fall). A pleasant area with views of tremendous waterfalls. From here walk across the main road to Gupteswor Gufa, the walk on steps downhill to a shrine of Shiva. Interest people can walk further down to view the raging Seti River entering a channel into the cave. After an exciting day of scenic Pokhara Tour, and then back to the hotel, rest of the afternoon at leisure.

Day 03: Morning at leisure enjoy the boat ride or other adventure activities
Morning at leisure options for visit International Mountain Museum, the first of its kind in Nepal. Established by Mountaineering Association (NMA), an interesting place to gather knowledge of the mountains, expeditions. Including flora / fauna, geography, history of Nepal mountaineering, located just near the main local area of Pokhara. The other best way is to enjoy taking a boat to the Barahi temple, in the midst of Phewa Lake. One can enjoy few hour hike to Shanti / Peace Stupa offers grand views of Annapurna and Pokhara city. On this day can take the opportunity joining for Paragliding, Ultra-Light Flight or Zip Line with Bungee Jumping also.

Day 04: Drive or fly to Kathmandu and transfer to hotel - 1,300m
After a marvelous holiday in Pokhara, depart from the hotel as time for Tourist Bus or in a private vehicle. Drive back to Kathmandu on the same scenic and interesting highway. On reaching Kathmandu transfer to your hotels, after an enjoyable time in scenic Pokhara Tour. For people with limited time in Nepal, have the options to choose taking a panoramic short flight 30 mins to Kathmandu.

What type of hotel accommodation do we spend overnight in Pokhara?
Depending upon booking from budget, standard to Luxury Hotel or in a Resort for overnight accommodations. Mostly staying in Tourist Standard Hotels, having good rooms with attached bath and toilets running hot / cold showers. As well having excellent foods to enjoy along with the views of surrounding grand scenery with snow-capped peaks.
Can I spend more days in Pokhara after completing the Pokhara Tour?
Yes, if some wants to spend more time in Pokhara for treks or other adventure around Annapurna Himalayas. Please inform well in advance to RP Adventures, so that we can make arrangements as per your request.
Is Annapurna Base Camp far from Pokhara?
Not at all it is one of the shortest base camp trek in all Himalayas, can complete the whole trek; within a week duration. Needs to drive for an hour or more to begin the trek as well at the end to reach back in Pokhara. One can enjoy short trek to Ghorepani and Poon Hill also takes about 3-4 days from Pokhara to Pokhara. Ghorepani and Poon Hill as well Annapurna Base Camp are the best and most popular adventure destinations for all people and age-group.
When is the best time to enjoy scenic Pokhara Tour and extension trips?
Pokhara Tour for all seasons, except for monsoon wet times of June to August. The best time are spring and autumn as well the winter months of December to February. Spring and autumn are the peak and high seasons, and enjoyable time, when days are mostly clear for views and tour. As well for hike and treks around the Himalayan high hills.
