Detailed Itinerary

• Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to hotel - 1,300m

  On arrival at Kathmandu, Nepal International Airport check the Nepal Standard Time, which is 5 hours and 45 minutes ahead of GMT. Outside the air terminal our staff from RP Adventures will greet and receives you for short drive to your hotels. The hotel located in the hub of Kathmandu, on arrival check into your lovely rooms. Then meet with other members of the trek for briefing regarding Annapurna Base Camp trekking. After collecting all the useful information and trek details, evening a group welcome dinner in nice authentic Nepal Restaurants an introduction to Nepali foods and cultures.

• Day 02-03: Tour of Kathmandu heritage sites of great cultural interest.

  These two days get engrossed with exciting sightseeing tour of great historical, cultural interest. The tour led by our expert guide, takes you around Kathmandu and Nepal famous landmarks. Kathmandu valley and its adjoining cities are steeped with historical monuments listed in World Heritage Sites. Enjoy the tour of Old Durbar Square, the ancient palace and royal courtyard, as well visiting the oldest Buddhist Stupa of Swyambhunath.   Next day tour takes you to Lalitpur district city at Patan Durbar Square, a famous historical Royal Palace of Malla Kingdom. The tour extends to Bhaktapur a medieval city adorned with beautiful Royal Courtyard with impressive temples and ancient monuments. These two days completes the tour of the main cities highlights within Kathmandu three former ancient kingdoms.

• Day 04: Drive to Pokhara 850 m (220 km / 137 miles)-06 hour’s journey.

  Morning enjoy an exciting overland journey of more than 6 hours. Depending upon road condition of the busiest highway of the country. But interesting to observe the in-depth of Nepalese rural farm life. The drive takes you through many farm villages and towns and then heading due Mid-West to beautiful city of Pokhara. Blessed with natural beauty of lakes, rolling hills and peaks of the Annapurna Himalayas. The hotels in Pokhara situated by the famous and serene Phewa Lake, a great place to explore.

• Day 05: Early morning drive to Sarankot 1,600 m / 5,250 ft. Full day tour of natural wonders.

  Morning before breakfast, a short drive to reach Sarankot hill at 1,600 m high rewards spectacular sunrise views. Includes panorama of Himalayan range, Annapurna, Manaslu as far as Dhaulagiri Himal, includes whole of Pokhara valley and the lakes.
  From Sarankot back to hotel for breakfast, and then tour continues to Pokhara’ natural wonders of Seti gorge. Then visit of local area with traditional bazaar and ethnical diverse traders. Visit the Bindhayabasini temple reflects the Newari architecture of Kathmandu valley. A short drive leads south of the city to Devi’s fall a beautiful waterfall also called as Patale Chhago (Hell’s fall). A pleasant area with views of tremendous waterfalls. The tour then takes you to Gupteswor Gufa, walk on downhill steps to a shrine of Shiva. Interest people can walk further down to view the raging Seti River entering a channel into the cave. After an exciting day of scenic Pokhara Tour, and then back to the hotel, rest of the afternoon at leisure.

• Day 06: Morning at leisure enjoy the boat ride or other adventure activities

  Morning at leisure options for visit International Mountain Museum, the first of its kind in Nepal. Established by Mountaineering Association (NMA), an interesting place to gather knowledge of the mountains, expeditions. Including flora / fauna, geography, history of Nepal mountaineering, located just near the main local area
  of Pokhara. The other best way is to enjoy taking a boat to the Barahi temple, in the midst of Phewa Lake. One can enjoy few hour hike to Shanti / Peace Stupa offers grand views of Annapurna and Pokhara city. On this day can take the opportunity joining for Paragliding, Ultra-Light Flight or Zip Line with Bungee Jumping also.

• Day 07: Drive to Lumbini approx. 200 m / 125 miles and transfer to hotel

  Morning after breakfast, an interesting drive on leaving Pokhara outskirts head south past farm towns and villages. The drive continues on winding downhill past the city of Butwal to enter the Rupendehi district of Lumbini. As the drive ends, reaching close outside the holy premises of Lord Buddha’s birth place. On arrival check into a nice hotel with time to browse around the local village and town. The area around Lumbini of sub-tropical climate, located on the low land Terai belt of Nepal Far South Mid-West.

• Day 08: Tour of Lumbini holy and historical Lord Buddha’s birth sites

  Morning having breakfast, our guide leads to the main entrance of historical and religious site of Lord Buddha’s birth place. Visit around the famous landmarks and witness a historical pillar erected by an Indian emperor Asoka of Magadha Kingdom. Visited Lumbini in the 3 rd Century BC this ancient pillar marks with inscription declaring ‘Lord Buddha was born in Lumbini. The history also shows, a Chinese pilgrims Tsuen Tsai and Fa-Hsien in the 4 th and 5 th Century A.D. The tour includes Maya Devi temple, mother of Lord Buddha, which is renovated by UNESCO World Heritage Sites organization. Several foreign monasteries and stupas have been constructed within Lumbini area. After an interesting tour back to hotels and with time for short walk around the farm village and town of great cultural interest.

• Day 09: Drive to Kathmandu 330 km/205 miles 7 hours journey.

  Start the long drive as early as possible to reach Kathmandu, the journey from Lumbini, leads on the main highway. An interesting place to notice of the lowland people culture, as the journey leads to cooler hills past Chitwan district. Then reaching the junction of Pokhara and Kathmandu route at Mugling Bazaar, from here about 3-4 hour’s drive. As the road follows winding road, then enter the Kathmandu valley and back into the city to your hotels. Rest of the evening at leisure on time for dinner.

• Day 10: Free day in Kathmandu for individual activities.

  A free day to enjoy individual activities in Kathmandu, and explore the Kathmandu city and its busy colorful market. As well enjoy shopping for souvenirs of Nepal.

• Day 11: International departure for homeward bound.

  The last final day in Kathmandu and at Nepal, as time for your international flight time. Our RP Adventures guides and staff transfers you to the airport, and then bid farewell to the guide and staff. Then enter the airport terminal for homeward bound flight, after a memorable experience on Nepal Cultural, Historical & Scenic Tour.
