Introduction

Ghalegaun Bhujung Village Tour is an amazing tour to the southern foothill of the Annapurna massif. The trek mostly focuses on exploring the rural village and the local people’s daily life in addition to exploring nature. On this trek, you will witness the typical Gurung villages, remarkable views of the massif mountain, wonderful terraced farmlands, and lush green forests just below the lap of Lamjung Himal and Annapurna II, IV. Additionally, you will also experience a homestay in Nepal where you can taste authentic Nepali food prepared by Gurung families. The traditional Gurung villages, with their secluded nature, rich cultural heritage, and genuine warmth and friendliness, are sure to capture your heart.

Ghalegaun Bhujung Village tour commence from Kathmandu, it takes 7-8 hours’ drive by reserved Jeep to reach Ghalegaun. In Ghalegaun village you can experience the local hospitality of the Gurung people with their own cultural show. Ghalegaun is situated on top of the hill which offers the stunning views of massif mountain like Manaslu, Himal Chuli, Ngadi Chuli, Lamjung Himal, and neighboring foothills. Next day after breakfast you will hike or drive to Bhujung village. The Bhujung village is populated with 400 households making it one of the largest villages in the area. After reaching you can explore the village and the lifestyle of local people. You will do your lunch in Bhujung and return to Ghalegaon in the evening. The next morning you will drive back to Kathmandu.

Detailed Itinerary

  • Day 1: Kathmandu to Ghalegaun

    Departing from Kathmandu in the early morning, around 6-7 AM, commence on a journey by reserved Jeep. As you traverse through the picturesque countryside landscapes, soak in the beauty of the surrounding scenery. Arriving at Ghalegaun in the afternoon, approximately around 3-4 PM, settle into your accommodation and take some time to freshen up. The remainder of the day is dedicated to exploring Ghalegaun village, where you can engage with locals and immerse yourself in their warm hospitality. In the evening, delight in a captivating cultural show presented by the Gurung community. Conclude the day with a delicious dinner and retreat for an overnight stay at a local guesthouse or homestay in Ghalegaun.

  • Day 2: Ghalegaun to Bhujung and Return

    After having breakfast at your accommodation, begin your trek or drive to Bhujung village, depending on your preference and prevailing weather conditions. Spend the day exploring Bhujung village, where you can visit local homes and immerse yourself in the lifestyle and culture of the Gurung people. Indulge in a delightful lunch amidst the village's serene surroundings. Following lunch, choose to either trek back to Ghalegaun or opt for a drive, based on your preferences and available time. Return to Ghalegaun in the evening, where you'll enjoy dinner and spend the night at the same guesthouse or homestay, continuing to bask in the warm hospitality of the local community.

  • Day 3: Ghalegaun to Kathmandu

    Enjoy a hearty breakfast at your accommodation before starting on a leisurely exploration of Ghalegaun village or opting for a short hike in the surrounding area, allowing you to savor the tranquility of the landscape. Following your morning activities, bid farewell to Ghalegaun as you commence your journey back to Kathmandu. Anticipate arriving in Kathmandu in the late afternoon or early evening, marking the conclusion of your trek.
