Introduction

During the 5 Nights 6 Days Bhutan Tour, the exploration includes major cultural facets and archaic monuments of Bhutan. It will take you through Buddhist monasteries, dzongs or forts, castles, and temples known as lakhangs, where you’ll learn about Bhutanese traditions, poetry, and folk dances and songs, monastic traditions, attires, and Budhhist religion. The trip entails visiting the National Memorial Chorten which is a major cultural significant centre.

This tour has been jointly established by RP Adventures where you will be able to explore the mythology, art and architecture of Bhutan where Vajrayana Buddhism has been dominant. You will find dzongs and monasteries with prayer flags around, and the surrounding environment will also look eye appealing. Sights include Doschula Pass and Tiger Nest Monastery, which provide great views of the mountains and the surrounding lands. You will be interacting with rivers, forests, and waterfalls, which will make your experiences memorable.

The tour begins with flight from Kathmandu to Paro International airport and then a journey to Thimphu, the capital of Bhutan. Some tourist attractions areas in Thimphu include The National Memorial Chorten and Buddha Dordenma statue. Some of the main places that you will be visiting include the Royal Textile Academy, Folk Heritage Museum, Painting School, the market within Thimphu and the weekend market, and Motithang Takin Preserve.

Afterwards, you will visit Punakha, the second oldest city which was once the capital of Bhutan during the medieval period and features some of the most beautiful dzongs and monasteries. You will use Punakha-Dzong as the destination and then drive to Wangdue Phodrang which houses the magnificent Wangdue Phodrang Dzong, a massive fortress established on a ridge overlooking two important rivers. After you have covered sight seeing in Punakha and Wangdue, the travel takes you back to Paro.

In Paro you will visit places like the Paro Dzong, The National Museum, and view others such as Chukha Dzong or Pangri Zampa. The end of the tour takes the guests to Taktsang Monastery – Tiger’s Nest, a breathtaking cliff-side monastery in Buddhism country – Bhutan.
