Supa Deurali Temple

Supa Deurali

Supa Deurali Sanctuary, also known as Supa Deural Mandir, is a Hindu sanctuary dedicated to the goddess located in the town of Arghakhanchi district, Sandhikharka region in Nepal’s No. 5 province. It’s a famous pilgrimage site in western Nepal surrounded by beautiful hills. People visit it for spiritual reasons and to enjoy the scenic views.

Legend has it that a soldier, known as a Lahure, fell in love with the temple on his journey to India. He promised to offer a golden chain to the deity if he returned safely. Upon his return, he forgot his promise and hurried past the temple. However, the divine power of Supa Deurali protected him and turned him into a figure carved in the rock near the temple. Over time, the significance of this place has grown, attracting more devotees. The temple not only fulfills the wishes of many worshippers but also serves as a blessing for young people seeking education, believed to be a gift from the gods.
