Rising majestically to an elevation of 6013 m, this peak offers breathtaking views of Surrou Fly from Pokhara to Kathmandu (30 min) or drive to Kathmandu (1,300 m) and eight surrounding mountains, including Damodar Himal (4890 m), Annapurna II (7937 m), Dhaulagiri, Peri Himal, Annapurna, and more.
The region is an ecological treasure trove, with a variety of vegetation, from pine and hemlock forests to white fir, Juniper, Birch, and Rhododendron. As you ascend to higher altitudes, you’ll encounter scrub and alpine plant communities, all of which contribute to the area’s rich biodiversity. The park is a sanctuary for wildlife such as the Red Panda, Snow Leopard, Musk Deer, Himalayan Tahr, Marten, Himalayan Mouse Hare (Pika), and over 118 species of birds, including the Impeyan Pheasant, Snow Cock, Blood Pheasant, and Red-billed Cough.

The journey commences in Kathmandu, where you will engage in essential backpacking and preparation under the guidance of our expert team. The trail to Dhechyan Khang Peak is an adventure in and of itself. The 93.2 km route takes you from Jomsom to Kagbeni, Chhusang, Ghami, Charang, Surkhang, and Yara before reaching the base camp of Dhechyan Khang Peak. The final climbing route stretches over 5.2 km, providing an exhilarating challenge for climbers.
